3% Is Not Enough

Only 3% of nonprofit donations are automatic monthly donations

The RoundUp.org Solution

We saw an opportunity to change this. RoundUp.org makes recurring donations easy by using a behavior 89% of consumers already know: rounding up purchases and donating the spare change.

  • Over $1 billion is donated annually this way, but most donors wish they could choose the nonprofit receiving their support.
  • In fact, less than 10% of consumers say they round up every time they are asked, but over 30% say they would round up every time if they could pick the nonprofit.

RoundUp.org empowers donors to choose the nonprofit they care about most—whether it’s fighting hunger, protecting the environment, or supporting local organizations like schools, shelters, or churches.

Setup takes less than a minute: donors link their credit card to their chosen nonprofit, and purchases are rounded up to the next dollar. Monthly, a single charge is made for the spare change. Donors can even set a maximum monthly donation limit.

Why I Founded This Company

As a serial entrepreneur, I’ve had the opportunity to build for-profit ventures in the B2B space, delivering innovative solutions for real estate professionals, mortgage lenders, and even musicians.

With RoundUp.org, I saw an opportunity to take the knowledge and experience I’ve gained over the years and channel it toward something with lasting social impact — empowering mission-driven organizations.

We’ve all been asked at the checkout counter if we’d like to “round up” for charity, but the chosen cause often isn’t one we personally connect with. I wanted to change that.

RoundUp.org makes it possible for anyone to automatically round up every credit card purchase to support their favorite nonprofit. Our technology makes giving brilliantly simple — enabling donors to make a difference with every purchase and feel good knowing that even small actions can create meaningful change.

For Nonprofits

RoundUp.org requires no extra budget, staff, or software. Each nonprofit already has a page on RoundUp.org where donors can link their cards and start giving. Donations (minus fees) are processed through Our Change Foundation, which distributes them to nonprofits. Nonprofits can easily claim their donations for free simply by registering.

We also provide free marketing tools—like shareable links, QR codes, and social media posts—so nonprofits can start promoting their RoundUp.org page through existing channels without extra effort.

Our Mission

Our mission is to empower consumers to make a difference with every purchase they make by rounding it up to the nearest dollar and sending their spare change to the nonprofit they love—especially local organizations that strengthen their communities.

The RoundUp.org platform seamlessly connects people’s everyday spending with the causes they care about, making generosity a simple part of daily life.
